Maddie Derian Advances to State Finals

Maddie Derian of the Webberville FFA Chapter recently competed in in the Greenhand Public Speaking Contest and advanced to the State Finals, with her food safety speech entitled Menacing Meals: Breaking News for Everyone’s Consumption.  Final results will be announced at the FFA State Convention April 21. She is the daughter of Heather and Alex Derian.  The chapter's demonstration team of Katarina Haynes and Dana Gorski were alternates to state contests after earning gold at the regional level.
