We have a new Band Director: Mr. Gary Franks whose last position was in Durand. He is a graduate from Western Michigan University and is working on his Masters degree from Western. Gary and his wife live in Lansing and he is looking forward to joining our program. Welcome Aboard, Gary !

 

Other news: the marching band marched in the Fowlerville Fourth of July Parade, band camp is August 8 - 13 and hopefully they will give us a sneak preview of the upcoming marching season; bingo tent at Fireman's Field Day; and Zap-A-Snack fall fundraiser (October 10 th sales and November 10 th delivery - just in time for deer season). The first Band Booster meeting is August 1, 2005 in the band room.

 

Attention MSU fans, the band program can use your help by taking tickets at six home games. In the past the band boosters along with the Webberville Lions Club have taken tickets for MSU home games. The band program earned over $1200 per season. We need 10 people for each game. Usually we work half the game and watch half the game..free! We are looking forward to a great year with a new Director of Bands, new fundraisers, and the usual community support.
