The History of Webberville - Webberville Feed and Grain Elevator

I interviewed Mr. Bill Drushel who owns the Webberville Feed and Grain Elevator. His business is located on South Summit Street in Webberville. He purchased the business in 1985. So he has owned it for 14 years. The elevator has been there since the original one burned in the late 1800s.

The main purpose of his business is to sell feed for cows and horses. The feed is made from crops grown in the Webberville area. Nineteen ninety-eight was a good year for his business since the crops were so good.

The main reason that Mr. Drushel chose this kind of business is that it fit in well with his college education degree. He also likes being self-employed because the rewards are direct. He likes working directly with the people and has a good relationship with his nine employees. I enjoyed talking to Bill and learning about his business.
