Webberville Community Schools honors local doctor
Dr. James P. LaBerge was recently recognized by the Webberville Community Schools Board of Education for his contributions to the district. Dr. LaBerge was honored for his caring attitude, valuable talents, and professional services rendered Webberville student athletes for the past 15 years.
The Webberville Board of Education expressed their profound appreciation to Dr. LaBerge for his years of service on behalf of the Webberville High School athletes. In addition, the board passed a resolution to name the Webberville high school male and female athlete of the year award in his honor.
The Dr. James P. LaBerge Athletic Scholarship Award will recognize a male and female senior athlete who has demonstrated strong character, leadership, sportsmanship and athleticism. In addition, to be eligible a student/athlete must have played at least two varsity sports their senior year and must not have quit a varsity sport during their junior or senior year. The first presentation of the Dr. James P. LaBerge Athletic Scholarship Award will be at the Webberville High School Awards Night on May 24 th at 7:00p.m.
