WEBBERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL VOCAL MUSIC PRESENTS “ANNIE”
By: Christopher Card
The Vocal Music Department is holding nothing back on this year’s production of “Annie”! A cast of 43 students have been rehearsing since January to make this musical theatre production a hit for the entire community to enjoy!
The musical “Annie” is one of the world’s most popular musical productions, telling the heart warming story of orphan Annie, “Daddy” Warbucks, Grace Farrell, and the antics of orphan headmistress Miss Hannigan. This Webberville production will even feature the dog, Sandy! The singing, dancing and acting of the very talented cast of Webberville students will be a treat every family can enjoy.
The production is directed by Christopher Card with choreography by Elizabeth Williams, owner of Elizabeth Williams Dance Studio. Over recent weeks the High School Cafeteria has been transforming into a Broadway Stage through extensive set construction and an addition to the stage space to make room and set the scenes for this full scale musical production. The vocal music department has raised funds from individuals and area businesses to create a professional appearing production with stage lighting, sound system, dozens of props, costumes and the full stage set. This production is sure to be one that the cast and the patrons that attend will remember for a long time to come!
