Primary Function:

Provide desktop and network support and maintenance for the school district

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:
High School diploma with CNA certification or equivalent minimum

 

Training and Experience:
Experience with troubleshooting network problems in a multi-protocol environment

Experience in diverse technology applications

Working knowledge of current instructional technology applications

Experience managing information networks for the transmission of voice, video and data

 

Human Relations Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with staff, students, and members of the administration team

Directly Responsible To: Technical Service Manager

Superintendent
Director of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment & Technology
Technical Service Manager
Technician
Interns

 

Position Summary:

1. Assists the district with the operation, expansion, and evaluation of technology

2. Provides desktop support and troubleshooting

3. Assists in the repair and maintenance of all technology equipment

4. Assists technical service manager

5. Assists with routine maintenance procedures on all computers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Directs maintenance routines on all computers

2. Diagnoses and repairs software and hardware problems

3. Learns and provides support for district software and hardware

4. Assists staff with the installation of software

5. Assists with integration of technology

6. Assists with the development of a technology inventory of all district equipment

7. Perform other duties assigned by the Technician Service Manager

 

Terms of Employment:

Per administrative contract with the Superintendent and Board of Education

 

Evaluation:

Annually on or before March 1st of each fiscal year
