Board of Education Adoption November 15, 2004
Primary Function: To assist the Superintendent in the area of payroll, benefits, personnel related duties and pupil accounting
Qualifications :
Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in business, accounting or related field preferred Experience in public education desired
Training and Experience: Experience in working with personnel issues. Experience and knowledge in pupil accounting desirable
Demonstrated Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency on office computers, Microsoft Professional Office Suite, and other technologies used in a business office environment
Human Relations Skills: Ability to cultivate positive public relations with school district personnel and work well in a team environment
Directly Responsible To: Superintendent
Personnel and Student Services Assigned Responsibilities:
Liaison between IISD and WCS. Payroll, Verify and submit hourly employee timecards to IISD payroll department, Maintain record of staff leaves, personal days, sick days, and vacation days Payables, - Write special checks as needed for district, i.e. COD, Athletic Officiating, etc., Order items under $500 for High School, Elementary and Board Office. Process accounts payable that need approvals and follow-up with issues regarding accounts payable Other Areas, -Filing Reports Assist with preparation of audit as necessary Maintain records of substitute teachers
Liaison between Chartwells and WCS.
Responsible for issues with hourly employees.
Maintain Staff personnel records
Teacher Rep Reporting
Maintain Workers Compensation records
Responsible for High School and Elementary Activity Accounts
Organize and track Scholarship funds with the committee
Review work agreements in all hourly employee areas.
Assist Child Care Director with fees, prepare monthly billing
Responsible for student pupil accounting
Assist with internal mail distribution
Contract Administer of Coke agreement
Transportation assistant
Maintain daily reports and oversee scheduling of drivers
Other duties as assigned by the superintendent
Terms of Employment: In effect from the 1 st day of July through the 30 th day of the following June
Evaluaton: On or before June 30 of each fiscal year and in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of non-teaching personnel
